1 hurt in shooting on RTD bus in Denver

Police in Denver investigated a shooting on an RTD bus on Tuesday afternoon. Police said the shooting happened on a bus near 15th and Tremont.

Police responded to the scene of a shooting that took place on an RTD bus near 15th Street and Tremont Street in downtown Denver on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024. There was a search for one suspect and a victim, who took themselves to the hospital for an injury. CBS

One victim was located and self-transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. In an update, Denver PD told CBS Colorado the victim was in stable condition, and suffered what is more than likely a graze caused by a gunshot.

Investigators said they were working to develop suspect information. Witnesses are being interviewed so investigators can determine what happened leading up to the shooting.
