Suspect Hospitalized After Officer-Involved Shooting
DENVER (CBS4) - A suspect was shot Friday night by Denver Police in Montbello and taken to the hospital.
Officers called for an ambulance to the intersection of East 47th Avenue and Kingston Street shortly after 9 p.m.

At a press conference Saturday afternoon, a Denver Police spokesman explained how his department's officer encountered 19-year-old Sergio Casimiro-Mejia allegedly trying to steal a car.
Casimiro-Mejia tried to drive away but the car became stuck.
The officer was yelling commands the duration of the encounter, according to the spokesman, and fired when he saw a gun in Casimiro-Mejia's hand.
Another officer responding to the shooting was involved in a traffic accident. He was not seriously injured, according to a DPD spokesperson.
