COVID In Colorado: Mask Mandate To Be Lifted In Denver Next Thursday

(CBS4) - Denver's current mask mandate due to COVID will be lifted on Feb. 3. City officials made the news official early Friday afternoon.

Denver Department of Public Health & Environment said on Thursday "Case rates are declining, and we appear to be past the omicron peak. But that does not mean people should let their guard down ... We encourage everyone to remain vigilant about wearing face coverings in indoor public settings."

Colorado state health officials say 75% of Coloradans are currently immune to the omicron variant of COVID-19, and by mid-February experts believe that percentage will rise to 80%.
