Denver Hits 90 Again, 2016 Enters Top 5 For 90-Degree Days

DENVER (CBS4) - Despite heavy cloud cover on Tuesday the high at Denver International Airport still hit 90-degrees at 2:47 p.m..

The high was 89.4-degrees in Denver's City Park.

It was the second day in a row with 90-degree heat and the 55th time this year that Denver's official high has been 90-degrees or higher.

According to the National Weather Service, 2016 is now tied with 2005 for the 5th most 90-degree days in the period between April and September.
