Denver Extends Program To Boost Opportunities For Companies Owned By Minority Women

DENVER (CBS4) -- A program meant to boost opportunities for firms owned by minority women has been extended for five more years. Monday night, Denver's City Council reauthorized the Hancock Administration's program that improves contracting opportunities, prevents discrimination, and ensures equity on public contracts.

It offers outreach and technical assistance, certifies small firms across size, gender, and race defined categories. It also monitors compliance.
