Denver Election Day: Mayor, City Council Seats On Ballot
DENVER (CBS4)- The City of Denver mayor seat along with more than a dozen city council seats are on the ballot in Tuesday's election.
Mayor Michael Hancock is expected to win re-election for his seat. Nine of the city council seats have a lot of competition. Overall there are 42 candidates running for 13 seats.
Six of the districts will get new city council members since their council members can't run for the same seat again because of term limits.
Runoffs are likely because winners need to win by more than just 50 percent to claim their seat.
