Denver Drops Marijuana From County Fair
DENVER (AP) — The Denver County Fair is dropping marijuana exhibits from next month's event, a year after 100 people said they were unwittingly served pot-infused chocolate in the fair's "Pot Pavilion."
The organizer of the county fair insists that the fair is dropping marijuana not because of that incident but because vendor sales were slow. Dana Cain says that Denver has so many marijuana-related festivals that the drug has "become kind of old hat."

The fair last year displayed no actual marijuana, with growers entering pictures of plants for competition. Vendors were forbidden from giving away or selling pot, but more than a dozen attendees filed suit, saying they were given weed-infused chocolates.
They filed suit against a dispensary that handed out the chocolates. The lawsuit has since been settled out of court.
