Denver Christian Rolls Over Denver Academy In Last Game At Katte Gym

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver Christian High School played its final basketball game at the old Dick Katte Athletic Center Tuesday night.

The school is moving to a new location and went out in style at Katte Gym by defeating Denver Academy 56-25.

"It is kind of hard to believe. We know where the new location is going to be and it's going to be a new challenge for everyone," former Denver Christian player Jeff Mains said. "It's going to be a great opportunity for the kids to go to a new place. But there's going to be a lot of great memories here too and we'll always hold those close to us."

The new gym will be built at a location near Wadsworth Boulevard and Hampden Avenue.

Denver Christian travels to play Limon High School on Thursday.
