Denver Busts 50-Year Old Record High, Makes Rare Mark In History

By Chris Spears

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver set a new record high for Oct. 27 at 3:23 p.m. when the temperature at Denver International Airport hit 83°F.

The old record high was 80°F set in 1966.

Denver's City Park also hit a high of 83°F.

Thursday's high is only the second time it has been this warm, this late in the season, since Denver's climate record began in 1872.

The only other temperature that eclipses today's reading was a high of 84°F on Oct. 29, 1950.
