Denver Broncos Depart For East Coast

DENVER (CBS4) – The Denver Broncos left Colorado late Sunday morning for New Jersey to get ready for next week's Super Bowl.

The chartered plane taking the team east was all set to go.

"We are not taking as much as we usually do. They trucked a lot of it out already to New Jersey," said Airport Operations Supervisor Jason Frank.

Despite having a plane full of NFL players, the crew said everything was business as usual.

"Same as any of the 1500 other flights we are operating today," said the captain.

After the three hour flight players and coaches will head to the hotel and then get to work.

"It's a great, exhilarating moment for the Broncos, the city," said Broncos Vice President of Public Relations Jim Saccomano.

Broncos representatives said that practices, meetings and planning will full the week up to the Feb. 2 Super Bowl.

This is the Broncos' seventh Super bowl appearance, making them already a top team in the country.

The flight crew wishes the team well and will be cheering them on.

"Hopefully we come back with a victory," said Frank.

The Broncos will play the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
