Denver Breaks 86-Year-Old Record High, All-Time Feb. Record Heat Hits Pueblo

DENVER (CBS4) - Spring fever has hit Colorado!

As of early afternoon, according to the National Weather Service office in Boulder, the temperature at Denver International Airport reached 73°F, breaking the previous record high of 71°F set on Feb. 18, 1930.

With a few more hours of heating to go the temperature could go even higher.

Denver's all-time warmest February temperature was 77°F set on Feb. 4, 1890 and Feb. 28, 2006.

Other records set in Colorado as of 1 p.m. on Thursday include the tie of an all-time record high in Pueblo at 81°F and a new record high in Grand Junction of 62°F.
