Denver Arts Week Has Something For Everyone
DENVER (CBS4) – The 11th annual Denver Arts Week kicked off with Denver's Mayor getting a quick lesson in hip-hop dance. The 9-day arts celebration includes some 400 cultural events put on by 160 organizations. Among them, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is hosting Breakin' Convention, an international hip-hop festival.

"Denver Arts Week is about making the arts accessible to everyone," said Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.
Salah Benlemqawanssa, or "Mr. Entertainer", as he's known in the hip-hop world gave the Mayor a quick lesson in pop and lock dance. The French dancer is in Denver for the Breakin' Convention, which runs November 4 – 5, at the Buell Theatre.
"I'm very excited and waiting to see the reaction of the audience because for me this kind of snow is so important to give to the new generation," Benlemqawanssa told CBS4.
