Pilot Killed In Single-Engine Plane Crash In Delta County

DELTA COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A pilot was killed in a single-engine bi-plane crash in Delta County. The pilot has been identified as Timothy Friendshuh, 55.

The crash happened about 8 a.m. Friday.

The plane crashed about 10 miles northeast of Delta in southwestern Colorado.

The Delta County Sheriff's Office was able to locate the wreckage in an area with rugged terrain. The pilot was the only person onboard the plane when it crashed.

The FAA is investigating what caused the plane to crash.
