Firefighters Quickly Snuff Car Fire In Deer Creek Canyon

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Volunteer firefighters helped keep a car fire turning into something worse in Deer Creek Canyon. The Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District responded to the canyon on Tuesday evening.

A car was seen spitting out large flames which spread to the hillside covered in dry brush.

Firefighters were able to get both the car and mountain extinguished quickly.

It's not clear what caused the fire or if anyone was hurt.
