'Death With Dignity' Supporters To Discuss New Bill At State Capitol

DENVER (CBS4) - A death with dignity bill will be introduced in Colorado on Tuesday and sponsors and supporters plan to speak about the bill at the Capitol.

Rep. Lois Court, D-Denver; Rep. Joann Ginal, D-Fort Collins; and Sen. Lucia Guzman, D-Denver plan to talk about the benefits of the death with dignity bill that's being introduced in the House of Representatives.

Also on hand will be Julie Selsberg, the widow of Charles Selsberg and death with dignity advocate. Charles Selsberg, who was dying from ALS, wrote a letter to the editor that was published in the Denver Post that addressed the death with dignity cause.

Also scheduled to speak are other supporters of the death with dignity bill. Some of them are facing end-of-life decisions

The event is scheduled to take place in the Capitol's West Foyer from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
