Police Arrest Man In Deadly Crash Involving Pedestrian

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police closed Federal Boulevard completely near Harvard Avenue Sunday morning for a deadly crash involving a pedestrian.

Investigators say the person who died was a passenger in the vehicle, and the pedestrian suffered minor injuries.

Witnesses tell CBS4 the driver hit a woman who was walking on the sidewalk and then rolled his car into a baseball field.

They also say the rolled vehicle crushed an ejected passenger.

Officials say the driver left the crash scene, but was later arrested.

Investigators say alcohol intoxication is being considered as a possible factor. The suspect has not been identified.

The crash happened south of Iliff Avenue. Federal Blvd. was reopened at around 3 p.m.
