1 Killed, 1 Hospitalized After Car Goes Airborne, Rolls Several Times

NORTHGLENN, Colo. (CBS4) -  Northglenn police responded to the area near 100th Place and Croke Drive at around 1:45 a.m. for a deadly crash. They say a four-door sedan lost control when it was traveling eastbound on 100th Pl. at a "high rate of speed."

Police say the car slammed into a retaining wall, went airborne and then hit a telephone pole and a parked car. They add the vehicle rolled several times.

Investigators say two people, a 49-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, were ejected from the car. Neither victim was wearing a seatbelt, police say.

The man died at the scene while the woman was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe alcohol was a factor.

Anyone with more information is asked to please contact Officer Dan Shube at dshube@northglenn.org.
