Dallas Cowboys Pick CU's Chidobe Awuzie

PHILADELPHIA (CBS4) - Former Colorado Buff Chidobe Awuzie waited until the second round to hear his named called.

He was selected with the 60th overall pick by the Dallas Cowboys.

Awuzie was a second-team all-Pac 12 as a junior and senior.

In his final season in Boulder he had 60 tackles (48 solo), four sacks, two forced fumbles, and 13 passes broken up.

He becomes the 267th player from CU selected in the NFL draft, which is 22nd overall among colleges.

Wide receiver Paul Richardson was the last CU player taken in the draft when he was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the 45th overall selection in the 2014 draft..

Awuzie is the ninth Buff to be drafted by the Cowboys, the last was OT Justin Bates in the seventh round of the 2003 draft.
