Cyclist Killed In Hit & Run Near Windsor ID'd

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a bicyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run crash near Windsor.

Sgt. Mike Baker with the Colorado State Patrol says 46-year-old Ernesto Wiedenburg of Fort Collins was riding his bike north on the Interstate 25 frontage road near Colorado Highway 392 when he was hit at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday.

Wiedenburg, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from his bicycle and pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Police are looking for a silver vehicle with damage to the right front side and possibly a broken windshield. The vehicle was last seen heading north on the frontage road.
