CU Picked To Host Republican Presidential Debate In October

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - The University of Colorado has been picked to host a Republican presidential debate in October.

The debate will air on CNBC on Oct. 28.

"CNBC's 'Your Money, Your Vote: The Presidential Debate on the Economy' will focus on the key issues that matter to all voters -- jobs, taxes, the deficit and the health of our national economy," Jennifer Dauble with CNBC said in a statement.

"We are delighted to host the first of the Republican presidential candidate debates to be held on a university campus. We have a long history at CU-Boulder of hosting high-profile visitors who bring exciting and engaging opportunities for our students and community to hear a variety of viewpoints. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with CNBC and feel this debate will be a memorable experience for our students and the entire community," said Philip P. DiStefano, Chancellor, University of Colorado Boulder.
