CU Issues No-Camping Reminder Ahead Of Dead & Company Shows

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — The University of Colorado has issued a no-camping reminder ahead of July 2 and 3 shows at its Folsom Field by a band featuring Grateful Dead alums.

The Daily Camera adds that camping is banned in Boulder's parks. At the county fairgrounds, camping is restricted to RVs, camper vehicles and vans. U.S. Forest Service free camping sites in western Boulder County are already heavily used by homeless and other visitors.

While Deadheads have a reputation for their tent cities, they don't all want to rough it. General manager Bob Trotter says Boulder's upscale St. Julien Hotel & Spa is sold out during the concerts by the Dead & Company, which includes Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart.
