CU Buffs Walk-On Running Back Surprised With Scholarship

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- The University of Colorado Buffaloes head coach surprised one of his players with a scholarship by pretending he was in trouble.

Coach Mike MacIntyre set things up to make it look like walk-on running back Kyle Evans was in trouble and had him read a letter in front of the whole team.

"Read it out loud and you'll take your consequences. Read it out loud to everybody," said MacIntyre.

"Kyle, as Buffaloes head football coach, it is my pleasure to officially award you a full scholarship," read Evans as the whole team cheered.

Evans admitted later that he had no idea that was coming.
