CU Buffaloes Fall Practices Underway

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - The Rocky Mountain Showdown between the CU Buffaloes and the CSU Rams is less than a month away, and the Buffaloes are preparing for that first game in their 2016 season.

The Buffaloes started their fall camp practices on Thursday. This will be Coach Mike MacIntyre's fourth season, and while there have been steps forward in his three years in Boulder, there has been a lot of losing.

MacIntyre's overall record is 10 wins and 27 losses, and the seniors guiding the team are working hard to change things.

"We're a close-knit group. We're tight on all fronts, we're a lot more vocal as a team," said senior quarterback Sefo Liufau. "The coaches are having to do less and less in terms of motivating."

Liufau said it's an understatement that the team has a hunger for more wins.

"We know what needs to be done, and we won't be satisfied unless we win this year," he said.
