CSU's Jim McElwain Reportedly Lead Candidate For Florida Job

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - According to multiple sources, Colorado State University football coach Jim McElwain is a leading candidate for the Florida head coaching job and has talked with the school.

McElwain was the offensive coordinator for 3 years at Alabama in the SEC before coming to CSU.

He is just ending his third season as the Rams head coach and had hopes the team would be invited to a major bowl game after going 10-2 until they were upset by Air Force on Saturday.

McElwain has a $7.5 million buyout in his contract. His name also mentioned for the Nebraska job that just opened up Sunday as well.
