FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - The Colorado State women's basketball team is Mountain West regular season champions for the second year in a row after beating Utah State 76-58 at Moby Arena on Friday night.

The Rams (23-6, 15-3 MW) clinched a share of the title Tuesday, but are now have the championship to themselves after beating Utah State.

Elin Gustavsson led the Rams with 23 points. A.J. Newton had 17 and Gritt Ryder had 15.

The Rams lost their first home game of the season but won 15 consecutive games in Fort Collins.

Because the Mountain West division is considered weak, the Rams still have to win the conference tournament for a guaranteed bid for the NCAA Tournament. They will open the Mountain West tournament at noon Tuesday in Las Vegas against the winner of No. 8 San Jose State and No. 9 Utah State.
