CSU Rams Another Step Closer To Cracking Top 25

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) – The Colorado State University Rams are still waiting to be ranked in football for the first time since 2003.

The Rams received enough votes on Sunday to be 26th and 27th in the two major polls. They are 7-1 after winning the Border War with Wyoming Saturday night.

Garrett Grayson is now the program's all-time leader in touchdown passes with 53. He passed Moses Moreno. Wide receiver Rashard Higgins now leads the nation in touchdown catches with 12.

The Rams, who have now won six in a row, are happy, but not satisfied.

"Look, this is what we should be and we shouldn't be 'And-1'. An that's kind of how it is … but at the same time, we'll embrace this and be excited about it," head coach Jim McElwain said. "We've got a lot ahead of us."
