CSP Honors Trooper Jursevics At Douglas County Fair

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- The Colorado State Patrol honored one of their own at the Douglas County Fair. Trooper Jaimie Jursevics was killed in November 2015 when she was struck by a drunk driver while investigating a crash on Interstate 25.

On Sunday, people at the Douglas County Fair placed a rose in Jursevics' memory on a CSP vehicle.

Henderson pleased guilty to drunk driving and striking Jursevics. The 52-year-old retired colonel with the U.S. Army was sentenced to eight years in prison in June.

Jursevics left behind a husband and an infant daughter.
