Crews Wrap Up Search In Dylan Redwine's Death

DURANGO, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say they've uncovered items of interest during a search for evidence related to the death of a 13-year-old boy who went missing in 2012 and whose remains were later discovered in southwestern Colorado.

The La Plata County Sheriff's Office and more than a dozen other federal, state and local agencies finished the five-day search on Middle Mountain Monday. Dylan Redwine's remains were discovered on the upper portion of the mountain in June 2013.

Sheriff's office spokesman Dan Bender says the items of interest will be tested and added to evidence already collected throughout the nearly four-year investigation.

Dylan disappeared from his father's Vallecito Lake house in November 2012. His father has been named a person of interest in his death, but he's never been arrested or charged.
