Crews Work To Repair Several Water Main Breaks

DENVER (CBS4) - Crews from Denver Water were working to fix three different water main breaks Thursday morning.

An eight-inch break happened near the intersection of West Evans Avenue and South Tejon Street. Five businesses were without water after the break.

Crews were expected to be working there for most of the day. At one point Denver Water had to shut down all lanes of traffic to make repairs.

A main also broke on the 3100 block of West Cedar Avenue near South Hazel Court, where five houses were without water during the repairs.

The third break happened at West 10th Avenue and Quitman Street, where multiple blocks were without water in the area.

So far it's not clear if the breaks are a coincidence or if they are related to the soggy weather.
