GRAND COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Day two of the search for a 19-year-old male from Avon started at first light Friday with still no sign of the man.

Grand County Search and Rescue teams called divers from Summit County Search and Rescue to the remote area where the man and his friend were camping in Gore Canyon along the Colorado River, south of Kremmling.

Authorities say the missing man may have accidentally fallen into the river off a cliff near the campsite while collecting firewood.

His friend was also collecting firewood, and when he came back to camp his friend had vanished.

The search was complicated by severe thunderstorms Thursday, and the terrain has forced crews to shuttle into the area on ATVs and by railway.

A report of a man walking along the tracks Thursday had not be confirmed by authorities, and so far there is no indication the missing man walked away from the campsite.

Rafting crews are also searching the river by boat.
