Crews Have Wildfire 100 Percent Contained

AGATE, Colo. (CBS4) - Fire crews made progress on a wildfire burning east of Agate. The wildfire was 100 percent contained on Tuesday afternoon.

The Basin Fire was estimated at 576 acres.

The Elizabeth Fire Department tweeted out an update on the fire on Tuesday.

The fire was burning in a ravine and crews had a hard time getting into the area to fight it on Monday night.

The fire was started by blown transformers.

Agate is located along Interstate 70 northwest of Limon on the Eastern Plains.
