Crested Butte Sign Company Buys Louisiana Property For Factory

GRETNA, La. (AP) - A sign company based in Crested Butte is going to open its second factory in suburban New Orleans.

Gov. Bobby Jindal and LetterFAB LLC executive Patrick Daigle say the company will spend nearly $1.8 million on a factory in Gretna.

Daigle says a Louisiana factory will make it easier for his company to reach markets in the South and along the East Coast.

LetterFAB makes signs of illuminated 3-D letters - the sort often used to create a company's name and logo on the front of a building.

A state news release says LetterFAB will have 45 employees with an average annual salary of $30,000.

LetterFAB expects to get Louisiana's industrial property tax exemption and a tax break for jobs that pay well.
