Crested Butte Breaks World Record With Skiing Santas

CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. (CBS4) - Hundreds of Santas joined together on Saturday to break a world record in Crested Butte.

The mountain resort set the world record for the most skiing Santas in one place, with 827 Santa skiers and snowboarders.

It was the third annual Santa Ski Day event, and beat the previous world record of 765 Santas.

Lift tickets were significantly discounted for the Santa participants, who had to wear a Santa hat, jacket, pants and beard to qualify.

The 2016 event is scheduled for the second weekend in December.
