Crash Involving Sleepy Driver & Trash Truck Snarls Boulder Turnpike Traffic

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) - Copter4 flew over a mess on the Boulder Turnpike Monday morning.

Police say the driver of a car fell asleep and rammed the back end of a garbage truck.

Both drivers went to the hospital.

The crash happened on the westbound lanes near the 80th Avenue bridge. It backed up traffic to Broomfield and Boulder.
