Crash In Construction Zone Causes Backups On I-70

DENVER (CBS4) - A combination of construction and an accident slowed westbound Interstate 70 at Kipling Street Thursday morning.

Traffic cones blocking off the right two lanes of I-70 were late getting picked up, and then a car crashed in the coned off construction zone shortly after 6 a.m.

All traffic squeezed by in a single left lane and backed up to I-76. Cones had been picked up by 6:45 a.m., and the car was being loaded onto a flatbed.
