CU Boulder Researchers Develop Method To Quickly Identify COVID Mutations

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Researchers at the University of Colorado Boulder have developed a method to quickly identify common COVID-19 mutations that allow the virus to escape antibodies and infect cells. The predictive tool can determine which antibodies are going to be effective against circulating strains of virus.

The study is considered a big step in creating effective booster shots and a universal vaccine for not only COVID-19 but also for the flu, HIV and other potentially deadly viruses.
