Couples Tie The Knot On Valentine's Day

DENVER (CBS4)- There were no lonely hearts at the Denver Clerk & Recorder's Office on Valentine's Day.

Instead couples lined up not only to get marriage licenses but also tie the knot.

One couple, Dan and Audry Asimus, were the third in line to get their license and take their vows.

They said it all came down to a snap decision on timing.

They said they've wanted to get married for a long time but couldn't work out the timing with their families.

So they decided today would be perfect.

"We decided yesterday," said Audry.

"We've been wanting to do this for a while," said Dan.

"And we thought what better day than... " said Audry.

"Today!" they both said.

"This way he won't forget the anniversary," said Audry.

Their advice for other couples-- if you're happy go ahead and say 'I do.'
