Coroner's Office IDs Woman Killed In Aurora Apartment Fire

AURORA, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a woman who was killed in a fire at an apartment complex in Aurora.

The Arapahoe County Coroner's Office said Tuesday that 51-year-old Jody L. Johnson died of smoke inhalation and burns in a fire at her home. Her death has been ruled an accident.

The Aurora Fire Department says emergency crews were called to the Liberty Creek Apartments north of Cherry Creek State Park on Monday morning and determined that the blaze was caused by someone who was smoking while on oxygen.

No other injuries were reported.
