Coroner IDs Northeast Denver Shooting Victim

DENVER (CBS4) - The coroner has released the identity of a man who was killed in a shooting in northeast Denver.

According to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner, David Dornell Edwards, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene.

"An autopsy was completed and the cause of death was determined to be from a gunshot wound," the coroner said in a statement. "The manner was determined to be a homicide."

The shooting happened at the 3400 block of Race Street near Bruce Randolph Avenue early Monday morning.

Police have one suspect in custody. That person's name hasn't been released.
