Kroger Ends 'Hero Pay' For King Soopers, City Market Employees

DENVER (CBS4)- The parent company that owns King Soopers and City Market in Colorado has stopped offering "hero pay" to employees. That was a $2/hour temporary raise.

Kroger announced that it is ending the "thank you" pay for employees that was offered to show appreciation for working during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

It was a total of $400 for qualified full-time employees and $200 for part-time employees.
