Coronavirus Update: Fort Carson Troops Travel To Washington To Provide Emergency Medical Support

FORT CARSON, Colo. (CBS4)- Troops from Fort Carson Army Post near Colorado Springs are on their way to Washington state to help provide emergency medical support.
More than 200 personnel from the 627th Hospital Center left on Friday for Seattle. They will focus on detecting and treating patients believed to have been exposed to the virus.
It is part of a move by the federal government to assist states hit hardest by coronavirus.
