Copter4 Catches Blue Moon Setting On The Front Range

DENVER (CBS4) - Copter4 captured an incredible sight while flying along the Front Range early Friday morning.

It was the second full moon of the month seen setting on the western horizon.

When two full moons happen in the same month the second one is often referred to as a Blue Moon due to a misprint in a magazine article in the 1940s.

The next time we'll see two full moons in the same month will be in January 2018.
