Construction Worker Rescued From Deep Hole In Downtown Denver
DENVER (CBS4) - A construction worker had to be rescued from a hole he was working in Monday morning in downtown Denver.
According to Melissa Taylor with the Denver Fire Department, the man was working in a 20 foot deep hole in the 1700 block of Lincoln Street when the ground gave way and he shifted and tweaked his back.
The man was complaining about back pain. Instead of climbing out of the hole on a ladder, the fire department's High Angle Rescue Team put together a rope system and brought him out a "stokes basket" which kept him completely flat.
The man was taken to the hospital. He was awake and alert conscious.
