Company That Turns Trash Into Gas Shut Down Because Of The Stink

LaSALLE, Colo. (CBS4) - A factory has been shut down in Weld County for putting out too much odor and now the company has filed a lawsuit.

Heartland Biogas in LaSalle turns trash and farm waste into gas. Weld County commissioners revoked its permits last week after neighbors complained about the odor.

Commissioners say Heartland Biogas broke air quality regulations.

In its lawsuit, the company argues it didn't receive due process before being shut down.
