Commerce City Police Investigate Murder-Suicide
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4) - A man and woman are dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Commerce City.
Police say a juvenile girl related to the woman was at the home during the incident Sunday afternoon at a house in the 5700 block of 65th Way. The girl called police.
Police believe there was a domestic dispute leading up to the deaths. They believe the man shot the woman and then turned the gun on himself.
"We checked history initially in the last three years. We've had no calls, no domestic calls, to this address in the last three years; no issues at this residence of anything like that," Det. Christian Rasmussen with Commerce City police said.
Police say the man and the woman were both in their 50s and were likely a couple.
The juvenile was reunited with family members.
