Pedestrian hit and killed by commercial vehicle in Commerce City

One person died overnight after being hit by a commercial vehicle in Commerce City. 

It happened on the 9600 block of East 96th Avenue just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday night. 

Police say that pedestrian was walking in the roadway when they were hit. They died on the scene. It's not known what kind of commercial vehicle was unknown.
