Colorado's New Logo Up For Legislative Review

DENVER (AP) - Some people hate Colorado's new logo and they want a second opinion. Legislators are now considering whether the logo should be banned until a public vote on the design that shows snow-capped green mountain with the letters "CO."

Colorado officials unveiled the logo last year for royalty-free use by businesses that want a Colorado logo on their products and in marketing, but the logo has gotten mixed reviews.

A House committee starts work Tuesday on a bill from several Republicans to require a public vote on the "Brand Colorado" logo. The bill allows alternative branding initiatives based on the colors and elements of the Colorado state flag.
