It's a joint effort by the Town of Ridgway and the Colorado Department of Transportation, who will begin work the week of March 21.

Improvements will be made to state Highway 62 and several of the main historic streets, including utilities, curb, gutter and paving.

A public meeting will be held March 17 at the Ridgway Town Hall, where the project will be outlined for the community.

The project is expected to be completed in Oct. 2017, with a winter shutdown from Nov. 2016 - March. 2017.
