Trooper Struck, Killed By Vehicle On I-70 Near Deer Trail
DEER TRAIL, Colo. (CBS4) -- A spokesman with the Colorado State Patrol has confirmed that a male trooper was struck by a vehicle late Friday on Interstate 70.
A medical helicopter was dispatched to mile marker 324, east of Deer Trail. There is no condition known yet of any patient.
There are no confirmed details about the accident at this time.
I-70 EB/WB: Road closed between Exit 322 - Peoria Rd and Exit 361 - US 24; Limon. Crash. EB I-70 closed at Peoria, MM322, and WB I-70 closed at Limon, MM360, due to a crash. Detour in place using US-36.

Due to a severe crash, I-70 westbound at mile marker 328 and I-70 eastbound of mile marker 322, are closed. The Colorado State Patrol is investigating. Arapahoe County and Adams County Sheriff's Offices are assisting.
