Colorado State Fair Opens With Divisive Sideshow

PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - The Colorado State Fair opens Friday — with a carnival sideshow that has been shut down in one Colorado county after parents complained.

The Fair in Pueblo plans to again include a sideshow claiming to feature the world's smallest woman.

"Little Liz" has appeared at the fair several times, but her show at the Boulder County fair was shut down earlier this month after some complaints.

State fair general manager Chris Wiseman says he hasn't gotten any complaints about the show over the years and says it's up to fairgoers to decide whether to go to the show or not.

The Fair runs through Sept. 1.
